Sound settings in your operating system
Sound settings in your operating system can cause issues with volume or voice chat in MyOwnConference webinars. Follow these steps to resolve these problems.
Open the application where the issue occurs.
After launching, press Alt+Tab to return to the desktop.
Press Windows+R.
Type sndvol.exe in the Run dialog and press Enter.
Move the volume slider for your speakers or headphones down.
Then, move the volume slider for your speakers or headphones back to the desired level.
Repeat these steps for the application with the issue.
Press Windows+R.
Type mmsys.cpl in the Run dialog and press Enter.
Ensure your speakers or headphones are set as the default device.
If not, right-click on your device and select "Set as Default Device".
If you have issues with voice chat, right-click on your device and select "Set as Default Communication Device", go to the "Recording" tab, and repeat steps 3-5 for your microphone or headset.
Press Windows+R.
Type mmsys.cpl in the Run dialog and press Enter.
Right-click on your speakers or headphones and select "Properties".
Go to the "Advanced" tab.
Uncheck "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device".
Click "Apply", then "OK".
If you have issues with voice chat, go to the "Recording" tab.
Repeat steps 3-6 for your microphone or headset.
Click on the magnifying glass icon in the top right corner of the menu bar.
Search for "Sound" and press Enter.
Go to the "Output" tab and ensure the volume slider is set correctly, and the "Mute" option is not enabled.
If you are experiencing issues with voice chat, go to the "Input" tab and make sure the input volume slider is set properly.
If the issue persists, try toggling the "Use ambient noise reduction" option.
Windows
Check the system and application volume levels in the volume mixer
Open the application where the issue occurs.

Then, move the volume slider for your speakers or headphones back to the desired level.

Check default devices
Press Windows+R.
Type mmsys.cpl in the Run dialog and press Enter.
Ensure your speakers or headphones are set as the default device.
If not, right-click on your device and select "Set as Default Device".

Disable exclusive mode
Press Windows+R.
Type mmsys.cpl in the Run dialog and press Enter.
Right-click on your speakers or headphones and select "Properties".
Go to the "Advanced" tab.

macOS
Check the system volume level
