To enhance your internet experience with faster and more secure DNS resolution, you can configure your Windows 11 PC to use Google's DNS servers. Below are the step-by-step instructions for setting up both IPv4 and IPv6 DNS addresses for Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections.


For Wi-Fi connection


— Open settings


  • Press "Windows + I" to open the Settings app.



  • Navigate to "Network & Internet" from the left-hand menu.



— Access Wi-Fi settings


  • Select "Wi-Fi" and then click on "Hardware properties."



— Modify DNS server assignment


  • Click on the "Edit" button next to "DNS server assignment."
  • From the dropdown menu, choose the "Manual" option.




— Input DNS addresses


  1. For IPv4:


  • Preferred DNS: 8.8.8.8
  • Alternate DNS: 8.8.4.4




  1. For IPv6:


  • Preferred DNS: 2001:4860:4860::8888
  • Alternate DNS: 2001:4860:4860::8844




— Save changes
