The Email Service is Blocked
Please use a different email address
If you or one of your webinar participants received the message «The email service is blocked, please use a different email address», it means that the email provider is currently on our blocklist. As a result, our system does not send emails to addresses registered with that service.
This restriction is in place to ensure high email deliverability, protect users from spam, and maintain the integrity of our communication channels. Below, we will explain why some email services are blocked, what you can do to resolve the issue, and how to prevent such situations in the future.
Why is the email service blocked?
We maintain strict policies regarding the email addresses allowed in our system. Some email services are blocked due to misconfigurations, security risks, or spam complaints. Below are the main reasons why an email provider may be restricted.
1. Misconfigured email services
Email services must follow industry-standard configurations to ensure emails can be properly delivered and authenticated. If an email provider has incorrect settings, our system may block it to prevent email failures.
Common misconfiguration issues include:
👉 Missing or invalid DNS records
Every email provider should have correctly configured SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records to authenticate outgoing emails. These records help prevent email spoofing and phishing.
👉 Improperly set up MX records
Mail Exchange (MX) records define how emails are received. If these records are missing or incorrect, our system may reject messages to prevent undeliverable emails.
👉 Unverified or temporary domains
Some email providers use disposable or temporary domains, which can raise concerns about reliability.
👉 IP blacklisting
If an email provider’s IP address is found on spam blacklists (such as Spamhaus, Barracuda, or Proofpoint), we may block emails from that domain to protect the integrity of our email system.
If your email service is misconfigured, it’s best to contact the provider’s administrator to verify and correct the settings.
2. Domains that do not accept emails or do not respond to email requests
We block email services that exhibit any of the following behaviors:
👉 Reject incoming messages from our system.
👉 Use policies that block automated emails or transactional notifications.
👉 Fail to respond to email communication requests within an acceptable timeframe.
Some email providers operate private networks or internal email servers that are not intended for external communication. For example, corporate email services with strict security policies may automatically block messages from unknown sources.
To ensure smooth communication, it’s important to use an email provider that supports standard email protocols and allows external messages from trusted senders.
3. High number of spam complaints from users
One of the most common reasons for blocking an email service is a high volume of spam complaints.
How does this happen?
👉 Participants mark our emails as spam
If multiple recipients report our emails as spam, their email provider may block our messages, leading to a block on our end as well.
👉 Users were added without consent
If participants did not actively register for a webinar but were added manually, they may assume the email is unsolicited.
👉 Frequent spam abuse from an email domain
If an email provider is associated with high spam rates, phishing attempts, or bulk unsolicited emails, we may proactively block it.
How does this impact webinar hosts and participants?
👉 Users with blocked email addresses will not receive important notifications about webinars.
👉 Confirmation emails, reminders, and access links may fail to reach participants.
👉 Hosts may experience lower engagement rates due to non-delivery of emails.
If an email provider consistently generates spam complaints, it will remain blocked until further review.
What can you do if you encounter this issue?
If you or your participants receive the «email service is blocked» message, here’s what you can do:
1. Use an alternative email address
The easiest solution is to use a different email provider that meets standard email security and authentication requirements. Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, or other well-known providers are generally reliable and widely accepted.
2. Verify and correct email service settings
If your preferred email service is blocked, consider checking the provider’s configuration. Contact the administrator and request verification of:
✔ SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records to ensure proper email authentication
✔ MX records to confirm the domain can receive emails correctly
✔ IP blacklisting status using online tools like MXToolbox or Blacklist Check
3. Contact our support team
If you manage the blocked email service or have administrator access, you can submit a request to our support team for review.
Requirements for a review request:
✔ The affected domain name and specific email addresses experiencing issues
✔ Confirmation that the domain meets security and authentication standards
✔ Any relevant information about why the domain should not be blocked
Please Note: Requests from individual users who do not have administrative control over the blocked email service cannot be processed. Only verified administrators can request a review.
